The Corporate Risk Manager is primarily responsible for insurance and self-insurance coverage and related programs in place for all business activities of the Colorado and Iowa Corporations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Broad responsibilities include handling of all aspects of insurance for various corporate insurance and self-insurance programs, for the Shriners Hospitals for Children system, its workforce, facilities, and special events. Role includes administration, finance, marketing and applications for insured corporate exposures, including but not limited to property, general liability, casualty, professional liability coverage, including state required enrollments, directors and officers’ coverage, cyber liability, loss control (safety), facility risk management issues and claims management. Role is also responsible for establishing necessary corporate reserves for self-insurance programs. Also responsible for worker’s compensation coverage and processes system-wide, including claims filing, processing and resolution of claims and maintenance of corporate reporting and metrics related to each area of responsibility. Duties include insurance coverage selection and negotiation to ensure assets of the organization are adequately protected. In addition, working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and SMDA desired. – 80%
Risk Management advisor to Shriners International, responsible for marketing, application and administration of organization’s insurance programs for various corporate exposures. Serves as a resource to all Shrine Temples and Associations to ensure compliance with Shrine law and organizational standards related to necessary insurance coverage. – 20 %

The qualified candidate will have experience in the following areas:
10 or more years of experience with insurance/claims management required
5 or more years of experience working at a Director or Assistant Director level required
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED/PREFERRED::
Bachelor’s Degree in Business required
Master’s Degree in Business preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
Extensive competency with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Access and Word
