Become an integral part of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Digital Team!

The Social Media Marketing Specialist will be an integral part of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Digital team responsible for assisting with strategy, development, segmentation, and optimization of all donor relation fundraising, peer-to-peer fundraising and event registration with fundraising. The person in this position will report directly to the Digital Fundraising Manager, and assist with additional projects centered on fundraising. The Social Media Marketing Specialist will also provide assistance to the Director of Digital Projects and Innovation when needed.

The optimal candidate will be socially creative, data-driven, strategic, detail oriented, tech savvy, and willing to work through complex projects and problems in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with social media amplification strategy for fundraising and email intake journeys
  • Assist with multiple platform content
  • Maintain and support an editorial calendar
  • Assist with hospital relationship building through fundraising and peer-to-peer campaigns
  • Donor support, digital fundraising and social media support for our hospital network
  • Work closely with the Digital team to further Shriners email efficiency and list management
  • Able to work across teams and gather and process/analyze/evaluate input from various groups
  • Understand SEO, keywords, social signals, engagement, paid advertising
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Perform competitive analysis and track industry best practices
  • Understand the importance of compliance-approved communication and materials in a highly regulated industry

Job Requirements

The qualified candidate will have experience in the following areas

  • 3 or more years of related experience in social media, marketing strategies, communications or related areas required.

  • Experience with donor relations and fundraising preferred

Minimum Education Required/Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Technology or related field required

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Experience with Classy fundraising platform and BBCRM a plus
  • Superior and versatile writing ability across a variety of content styles with attention to audience and brand voice and blogging
  • Ability to synthesize information and write clearly and concisely, while conveying subject matter to various audience groups and demographics
  • Ability to influence and communicate across all levels of the organization in order to gain cooperation of others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of graphic design tools (such as Photoshop)
  • Working knowledge of basic HTML and WYSIWYG editors
  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent individual performer and team player
  • Must possess creativity and bring fresh perspective
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and ask questions
