Job Description


  • Provides 24-hour support coverage for all computer systems and applications.

  • Carries IS pager during rotation as required

  • Provides hospital-wide network server administrative support to the LAN / WAN system, including troubleshooting and diagnosing all network-related issues

  • Provides hardware/software technical support, including advanced troubleshooting of problematic hardware/software issues with a focus on excellent customer service delivery

  • Ensures reliable performance of the network from end to end, diagnosing faults and downtimes

  • Installs devices as needed

  • Assists in creating and developing documents, reports, queries, macros, templates, spreadsheet calculations, ACCESS Database programs, etc., and implements at the user level

  • Assists in support and development of hospital "Intranet" website

  • Assists in development and creation of "User In-Service Training Sessions," GO-Live projects, and new user setup requirements

  • Cisco phone support and system management

  • Enters, changes, updates, and supports help desk systems on a daily basis according to HQ-specified guidelines.

  • Builds effective relationships with Tampa home office

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor Degree in Information Systems - Required
  • 3 years’ experience in Information Technology - Required
  • Microsoft software products and hardware support - Required
  • Advanced LAN / WAN and TCP / IP network skills - Preferred
  • 3 years Clinical experience in healthcare environment - Preferred

Additional Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong written and oral communication skills required; excellent customer service and teamwork skills required. Strong analytical and problem solving skills a must
  • Ability to understand and follow emerging IT trends and make recommendations for application within business units.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and follow processes
