Manager, Supply Chain

Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California, the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury and pediatric subspecialties medical center is looking for a highly motivated individual with previous supervisory experience to manage Supply Chain for the hospital

 

Under the direction of the Director of Logistical Services, the Manager of Supply Chain will plan, direct and manage all supply chain functions for the hospital, directs the daily activities of assigned staff and department operations and ensures the provision of services.  This includes overseeing the processes and operational areas of procurement that include local supply contracting, supply conversions, distribution, product selection and inventory control; Supports and assists with capital equipment budget development; Works collaboratively with surgical services and other departments to support cost reduction initiatives and manage inventory values.

Job Requirements

Must have the ability to provide effective leadership, supervision, staff development/counseling and departmental fiscal controls. Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  Requires knowledge of key activities with-in the supply chain organization to include purchasing, inventory management, contracting, logistics, A/P finance, and value analysis.  Demonstrated competence in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and the ability to utilize an electronic / automated supply chain procurement system is required.  Previous experience in supply chain, and at least 5 years of supervisory / Management experience required.  Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) certificate is preferred.
