Job Description

The GPO Supply Chain Sourcing Analyst position provides detailed operational and financial analysis of supply chain data in the areas of sourcing, contracting, pricing, procurement, and item adds. The GPO Supply Chain Sourcing Analyst will be a valuable resource that will provide assistance and direction to our various requestors and departments like MMIS, Contracting, and Purchasing on sourcing, conversions, new item adds and metrics that will increase contract participation while logistically increasing ordering efficiencies to lower Shriners Hospitals for Children’s total cost of ownership.  This position will require approximately 20% regional and/or national travel.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs the collection, consolidation, analysis of purchase order history and recommends the optimal sourcing of purchased to Shriners Hospitals for Children contracted vendors (25%)

  • Reviews item add requests and determines optimal sourcing for procurement of product (25%)

  • Assists in the administration, data input and integrity of the enterprise procurement (20%)

  • Performs the collection, consolidation, analysis and reporting of operational, financial and clinical data in support of supply chain key performance indicators (10%)

  • Performs consolidation and analysis of spend data for monthly forecasting and variance reporting in support to contracting and procurement activities, value analysis projects and capital purchases (10%)

  • Works closely with Shriners Hospitals’ Supply Chain Managers on status of procurement system operations and identification of enhancements and reporting requirements (10%)

Job Requirements

The qualified candidate will have experience in the following areas

  • 2 or more years of supply chain/materials management required

  • 2 or more years of experience working with Group Purchasing Organization contracts required

Minimum Education Required/Preferred:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Bachelors’ in Business, Finance or Nursing preferred

  • Supply Chain or Materials Management Certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Strong computer and data analysis skills.

  • Lawson ERP System experience.

  • Must be able to work in cross functional teams.

  • Knowledge of MS Excel MS Word and Outlook. MS Access a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Hospital product knowledge in the areas of Spine, Trauma, Burn, and Med/Surge distribution is a plus.
