Physician Chief of Staff
Shriners Hospitals for Children, Boston is searching for a Chief of Staff.
We are a highly specialized pediatric surgical hospital located in downtown Boston. It is one of the world’s preeminent hospitals for the treatment of children with burns and the only exclusively pediatric, verified burn hospital in New England. Affiliated with Massachusetts General Hospital and verified by the American Burn Association and the American College of Surgeons, Shriners Hospitals for Children — Boston meets all of the demanding standards for organizational structure, personnel qualifications, facilities resources and medical care services to ensure the best possible outcomes for children. This opportunity is a majority-employed position of Shriners Hospitals for Children and a minority appointment at Massachusetts General Hospital.
We have a collaborative approach to burn care, cleft lip and palate treatment. A multidisciplinary team that includes skilled acute burn and trauma surgeons, reconstructive plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists and psychologists, occupational and physical therapists, nutritionists, social workers, pharmacists, child life specialists, and orthotists and prosthetists work in concert to optimize the cosmetic and functional outcomes for our patients. All care includes physical therapy and emotional support.
Ten years minimum, experience in a clinical leadership role, educator, research and management of physicians, practitioners and hospital/clinical scheduling.
