We are currently recruiting for a Part-time Development Assistant. This is a part-time, 20 hours per week position. The work schedule will be determined upon hire.

Position Summary:

Sharing in the broad vision of the mission of Shriners Hospitals for Children - Boston®, the Development Assistant is responsible for administrative support of the Donor Development department; including tasks and activities to enhance donor cultivation and stewardship, gift processing, donor acknowledgments, CRM database management and will support event planning and logistics.

The overall management of our Blackbaud CRM system is a major responsibility, as well as using online peer-to-peer platform for event fundraising.

Support the planning and logistics of virtual and eventually in-person Donor Development events – tracking registrations, sponsorships, teams, donations, giveaways, collateral mailings and working with vendors as assigned.

This role is also responsible for generating reports from CRM and online cloud based platforms. Manage CRM data integrity, review and clean up prospective donor lists, as needed, in preparation for mailings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gift entry into CRM, gift acknowledgements and cloud based peer-to-peer platform - 50%

• Event planning and support logistics - 25%

• Data clean up, list and report preparation – 10%

• Point of contact for in-kind gifts, answer telephone, emails and donor inquiries - 5%

• General administrative support for Development Office, as assigned - 5%

• Managing special projects or collaborations with other departments, as assigned - 5%

Position Requirements:

• Ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently with CRM database, generating donor correspondences and acknowledgments in efficient manner.

• Must have three (3) years plus administrative support experience and proficient using MS Word, MS Excel and running mail merges.

• Keen eye for detail, patience and strong written and verbal communication skills required.

• Experience with robust databases like Blackbaud CRM, Raiser’s Edge, Classy or other peer-to-peer fundraising platform preferred, training is provided.

• Nonprofit event planning and support experience a plus with an interest to learn and grow fundraising best practices and donor relations.
