Shriners Hospitals for Children Medical Center has an opening for a Full Time, grant funded, Clinical Research Specialist.

The Clinical Research Specialist will be responsible for and/or assist with all aspects of funded clinical research projects including, but not limited to, IRB and regulatory processes, screening and recruitment, patient scheduling and follow-up, data collection and data management, as well as coordination among multiple participating sites for multi-center research project(s).

Job Requirements

This clinical research position requires the candidate to have a bachelors degree in a healthcare related or social science field and to have research experience in a clinical setting. Knowledge of research processes, excellent organization and communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work independently is required.

The ideal candidate is dependable, high energy, detail oriented and exhibits excellent interpersonal skills. A candidate should have skills and knowledge in the following areas:  planning and, time management, Microsoft Office Suite, database data entry, management of multiple, complex competing priorities, ability to multi-task and work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Experience with children and with patients and families in a clinical setting is preferred. A minimum of two years of clinical research experience in data collection involving human subjects, as well as project management experience and knowledge of regulatory processes is strongly preferred. SOCRA or ACRP certification is a plus.
