Shriners Hospitals for Children - Galveston is the leader in the fields of acute burn injury treatment and rehabilitation.  We are seeking a licensed Physician Assistant to join our team.  Duties include:

  • Under physician supervision, performs history, physical exams and makes rounds 
  • Assists in the evaluation and work up of the patient, conferring with physician on treatment and follow up 
  • Assists physician with interpretation of test results. 
  • Assist surgeon in operating room with major and minor procedures 
  • Functions as adjunct to the patient's primary care provider in order to promote integration of specialty and community services

Job Requirements

Requirements include:  

  • Graduate of an AMA (CAHEA) approved Physician Assistant program with an associate BA/BS.
  • Eligible for National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants certificate; state license in good standing.
  • Two years post graduate experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates clinical competence; strong teamwork and customer service skills required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
