Job Description

Shriners Medical Center for Children, in Pasadena California is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation service. Our Outpatient Therapy clinic is seeking a leader to develop their staff and support ongoing growth of physical therapy and occupational therapy.  The department has under 10 staff, with an opportunity to grow.  As director, you will have limited patient care responsibilities, as the management and revenue cycle responsibilities will require daily attention.  As a SHC Rehabilitation Director, you will also participate in system wide activities with other SHC Directors of Rehabilitation leading 21 other Rehab settings in 3 countries offering exceptional pediatric care.

Out of state candidates are encouraged to apply. A Master’s Degree, DPT, or tDPT with at least 5 years of leadership and or management experience in a therapy or rehab setting is required for this opportunity.   Occupational Therapists with similar graduate level training and experience may also apply.

Job Requirements

A Master’s Degree, DPT, or tDPT with at least 5 years of leadership and or management experience in a therapy or rehab setting is required for this opportunity.


Other requirements for this opportunity are:

 

Demonstrated experience in revenue cycle, coding, reconciliation, documentation, billing and prior authorization of third party payors to include letters of medical necessity, Medicaid experience and membership of the APTA or AOTA. Previous experience in pediatric orthopedics, burns, and/or inpatient rehabilitation is preferred. California licensure will be required after hire.
