Shriners Hospitals for Children - Galveston is the leader in the fields of acute burn injury treatment and rehabilitation.  We are seeking part-time Certified Nursing Assistants to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). 

The CNA may perform a wide variety of duties that include:


  • provide wound care and skin care under the direction of the RN
  • provide delegated nursing care activities with respect to the child/family unit and assists the caregiver to participate as appropriate
  • assist patients and families as they are learning home care and reports observations to the RN
  • keep unit and work areas stocked appropriate to the number, acuity and age of patients currently present including Personal Protective Equipment

**multiple positions available - .6 FTE - both day and night shift (2 - 12 hour shifts per week, alternating weekends)


Job Requirements

Requirements include:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • CNA certification required    
  • 2-5 years CNA experience
  • Bilingual Spanish/English
