SHRINERS HOSPITALS FOR CHILDREN - CINCINNATI*

*Hospital will be transitioning to Dayton Children's to be a hospital within a hospital model of care in early 2021.

Shriners Hospitals for Children - Cincinnati is well known for world-class burn care and is also a recognized leader in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery from routine to rare. Services are provided in a family-centered environment, regardless of a family's ability to pay.

The PACU nurse is responsible to provide safe quality care as the patient progresses through the peri-anesthesia phase of care. Provides assessment, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation of physical or psychosocial problems / risks for problems that may result from the administration of sedation / analgesia / anesthetic agents for surgical patients. Applies principles of age-specific medical-surgical and critical care nursing.

The full-time position is 40 hours/week, (four 10 hour days, 6am - 4:30 pm, no weekends or holidays) including on-call rotation.

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit or ICU
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Ohio RN license
  • CPR and PALS also required (or within 6 months)
