Job Requirements

  • Implements a systematic patient examination and evaluation utilizing a comprehensive, patient and family-centered approach to decision making incorporating the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) model and the AMA CPT codes.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and advanced skills to design and implement a comprehensive treatment plan, utilizing evidence base practice, for patients of diverse ages and diagnoses based on their assessment.
  • Supports risk management and compliance initiative through accurate, thorough documentation, which follows the state requirements, payer specific requirements, regulatory and professional standards to include correct use of AMA CPT code and/or HCPCS codes when applicable.
  • Demonstrates emerging professional leadership behavior in practice settings, in the community and within the profession.
  • Performs self-reflection of personal practice and professional work activities to direct goals for professional growth.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • TX. State PT license in good standing
  • BLS
  • 1 year PT practice (preferred)
  • Pediatric experience (preferred)
  • PCS, OCS, NCS, and CHT preferred

Shriners Children's Texas, the premier pediatric, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center, has an opportunity for a Physical Therapist in our Motion Analysis Center.


The Physical Therapist provides evaluation and therapy services, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transition of care, in a n efficient, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner upon licensed independent practitioner referral.


Provides comprehensive compliant and safe clinical care demonstrating the philosophy of family centered care, a commitment to the achievement of optimal patient outcomes in alignment with the standards of practice of their professional organization.


Works with medical staff and the multidisciplinary team to design and implement individualized plans of care to meet the needs of the pediatric patients and their family.
