Clinical Research Coordinator – Burns Surgery
Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California, the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury and pediatric subspecialties medical center, is looking for a highly motivated Clinical Research Coordinator with a passion for helping the pediatric population to work in our Burns Surgery Research Department.
This is a clinical research position funded by a Shriners Hospitals Clinical research grant. Funding is subject to annual renewal. Responsibilities include: providing support and ensuring compliance with the protocol requirements, local and federal regulations, data collection and management, compiling and analyzing clinical research data, assisting with patient accrual, developing and maintaining subject study files, obtaining informed consent and assist in the development of annual progress reports and IRB renewals; maintain current knowledge on Federal, local, and institutional clinical research regulatory requirements. Incumbent, as a member of the Burn Research team, will be interacting with staff and research studies/patients at both, SHCNC and UCDMC.

Working knowledge of principles, practices and policies for the implementation and monitoring of clinical trials. Knowledge of, and ability to comply with UC Davis IRB guidelines, 45 CFR 46, FDA’s International Conference on Harmonisation – Good Clinical Practices Guidelines, FDA 21 CFR 50, 54, 56, 312 ,314, 812, 814, and Shriners Hospitals for Children regulations for research involving human subjects. Excellent working knowledge of IBM/Microsoft software packages including Word, Access, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
